Explore CollectionOur Story
Paroso was born from a deep reverence for India's woodcarving heritage — from the intricate jali work of Rajasthan to the temple-inspired forms of Kerala. We partner directly with master craftspeople, ensuring their art and stories reach homes worldwide.
Each product carries the mark of a human hand. The natural grain, texture, and warmth of the wood are celebrated, not concealed. Our beeswax and linseed finishes enhance what nature already made beautiful.
The Makers
Third-generation craftsman from Jodhpur. Ramesh specialises in intricate jali lattice work and floral motifs on rosewood, using tools passed through his family for over 120 years.
From Thrissur, Lakshmi creates temple-inspired figurines and wall panels using traditional Kerala chisels. Her work is known for its extraordinary depth and devotional precision.
A master of Kashmiri walnut woodwork from Srinagar, Abdul crafts exquisite jewellery boxes and frames with deep-relief botanical patterns inspired by the valley's flora.
The Journey
Sustainably harvested teak, sheesham, walnut and mango wood from certified forests across India.
Each artisan sketches patterns by hand, drawing from centuries-old regional motifs and their own mastery.
Every piece is carved using traditional chisels and gouges — never machine-cut. This takes days, sometimes weeks.
Natural beeswax, linseed oil or plant-based lacquers give each piece its final warm, enduring glow.
